Macarons

Do you remember the movie Marie Antoinette? It was unremarkable save for two points: 1) it proved that Sofia Coppola should stop making subpar movies and stick to designing even more subpar handbags for Louis Vuitton and 2) it provided tons of Laduree eye candy.

If you chose not to go see it in theatres and wisely spent two hours of your life doing something else, here is a quick recap in photos!

Kirsten Dunst lounges around licking whipped cream off her fingers as her maids tend to her grooming needs.

Marie Antoinette goes under the guillotine and unfortunately gets her head cut off. :(

And then for all the nice lovely, frilly things in between!

She eats more pastries!

. Did you know that Laduree actually provided all of the gorgeous pastries featured in this movie?

Ah macarons...how I long for you! Now that I'm subsisting on cold sandwiches, I feel like I've grown more appreciative of good food...sort of like how prisoners on death row fantasize about their last meal, not that being at school is anything like being on death row.
